Are you angry with your womb space?

I wrote this blog and was wondering if anyone relates. I hope this might be helpful.

I was so pissed with my womb.

I didn’t ever consider her, other than how blinking upset and down right annoyed I was with this small part of my body for not doing her job.

Not carrying the baby that I so longed for. Anger is a cry out for justice and that feeling of it just not being fair that others around me were happily pregnant and year afte year I was not.

I felt like my body was broken and not functioning correctly. I wondered if I was being punished for not feeling more maternal when I was younger.
I knew this anger burning deep inside of me was not helpful festering, and so I actively started to process it. I acknowledged it out loud in front of the mirror. I thanked the feeling of anger for showing up and started to connect with the feelings rather than hide from them.
The anger was part of my determination to keep going and turn this situation around, so it was actually useful. But it wasn’t helpful to direct the anger at my womb, and so instead I decided to lovingly focus my attention on my womb space with my breath and intention.⠀⠀⠀

Of course I’m not saying that connecting to my womb was the single thing that helped me create the family that I now cherish.⠀⠀
However it was another tool that truly helped me to cope with the stress of the journey.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m aware that many of you in this group have been on a long and painful fertility journey and you may be feeling disconnected with your womb space. It’s not suprising when your body is treat like a pin cushion and your womb invaded consistently with medical procedures throughout each IVF cycle.
I would love to share with you a very simple exercise to build into your sleep or wake routine that may help you to take steps to connect with your womb.
✨Simply find a quiet space to start this simple connection practice.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Perhaps in bed before sleeping or on waking each morning⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Place your hands over your womb space just a few fingers below your navel⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Take 5 – 10 deep belly breaths⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Take your intention to your womb and ask simply ‘how do you feel’?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Imagine sending a sparkling golden healing light to your womb space. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Your intention is powerful.
